things that have changed after doing this engineering degree:

1) Whenever I have anything to do involving even a modest amount of numbers, I immediately want to open Excel

2) I frequently find myself wondering if certain things are 'log normal'. For example, my apartment water heater has a warning that lists the amount of time one has to be exposed to hot steam to receive 2nd and 3rd burns. For 160 degree water, 0.5 seconds, 150 degree water, 1.5 seconds, 140 degree water, 5 seconds, for 130 degree water, 30 seconds, 120 degree water, 5 minutes.

that's totally log normal. right?
